Ghanaian actress, Christiana Awuni, has disclosed her readiness to campaign for John Mahana in the 2024 elections in Ghana.
The popular Kumawood actress, who was speaking in an interview with DJ Sly On Ark FM’s ‘Weekend City Show’ in Sunyani monitored by Newshuntermag.com, stated that she will massively campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader.
Madam Awuni made this comment after she joined the NDC to campaign in the Assin North by-election which saw the victory of James Gyakye Quayson.
She was optimistic about the victory of John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the 2024 elections in Ghana.
When asked why she would campaign for Mr Mahama, Christiana Awuni averred he has shown interest in the affairs of actors in the country.
She revealed the support that the NDC flagbearer was willing to offer to actors and actresses in the Ashanti Region until it was turned down.
Again, the actress claimed John Mahama has proven his love for them as he watches Ghana movies when he is travelling.
Though she voted for NPP in the 2016 elections, she questioned what President Akufo-Addo has done for them after he came to office.
Christiana Awuni further disclosed that some producers and directors forced actors and actresses in the Ashanti Region to campaign for Nana Addo in the previous elections.
However, she indicated that she only voted for the ruling party without campaigning for them.
