Many people look up to celebrities and their personal affairs are scrutinized by the public, from the tiniest issues to the big ones, including their marriages.
However, celebrities are still humans, and like humans, sometimes their marriages don’t work out.
Let’s explore some of the well-known celebrity marriages that have fallen apart in recent years.
Juliet Ibrahim and Kwadwo Safo Jnr
Popular Ghallywood actress Juliet Ibrahim tied the knot with the CEO of Kantanka Automobiles, Kwadwo Safo Jnr. in 2010 in what was considered a lovely wedding.
However, things took a sad turn when the couple split up in 2014 after having a child together.
Juliet Ibrahim, in a lengthy Instagram post, alleged that Kwadwo Safo had cheated on her with his current wife, Zainab Bonkano, leading to their divorce in 2014. She expressed feeling disrespected by his actions and believed the only recourse was to file for divorce.
In response, Kwadwo Safo Junior chose not to explain or defend himself regarding the collapse of their marriage.
However, in 2022, he revealed that they are still friends. The duo have even been spotted at events.
Xandy Kamel and King Kaninja
Actress cum Angel TV presenter, Xandy Kamel tied the knot with King Kaninja, a sports presenter with Angel FM, in May 2020.
Shockingly, after six months, news broke out that their marriage had ended. In an interview with Zionfelix in 2021, Xandy alleged that the breakup was due to infidelity on the part of her husband.
In 2022 however, rumours popped up that Xandy Kamel had remarried and was hitched to a man named Kwame Sikani who is based abroad.
Akua GMB and Dr. Kwaku Oteng
Winner of 2011’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful and former Angel TV Managing Director, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah also known as Akua GMB got married to Angel Group founder and owner, Dr. Kwaku Oteng as his 4th wife. After 8 years of marriage, the duo broke up amid rumors of infidelity and domestic abuse.
However, Akua GMB still has high regard for her former husband, stating that they’re still on good terms and she respects him.
Afia Schwarzenegger and Lawrence Abrokwah
Controversial media personality Afia Schwarzenegger got married to Mr. Lawrence Abrokwah in 2016. It was all love and bliss until barely ten months later when a shocking video blew up on social media.
Lawrence Abrokwah had caught Afia Schwarzenegger in their matrimonial bed with another man after a tip-off from their maid.
