Top 5 reasons why we get headaches
Headache is one of the most common complaints that people make and
when it strikes, one has no choice. Headaches can be described as a
muscular
tension in the head, neck or shoulder. It is
caused by wrong functioning or one can say
congestion of the blood vessels that provide
blood to the brain and nerves.
According to experts, women are more prone
to headaches because of hormonal changes in
their body and the stress and strain of daily
life. Further, there has been a debate amongst
experts worldwide if stress can trigger
headache.
A recent study provides evidence that having
more stress in one's life leads to more
headaches.
Here is a list of top 5 reasons that can trigger
headache:
Prolonged stress: Yes, the most common
cause of a headache can be prolonged stress
or tension which causes scalp and face
muscles to tighten and contract frequently
causing pain which eventually leads to
headache.
Inadequate sleep: Most of us do not care
about our sleeping schedule or do not get
adequate sleep. It is actually bad for our
health and can cause mild to severe
headaches.
Loud noise: If one is exposed to loud or
high-pitched noise for a long time, then it
might cause severe headaches.
Caffeine: Consuming caffeine in a little
amount is okay, but, if used excessively,
caffeine can be too stimulating and cause
anxiety and sleep problems, ultimately
triggering a migraine.
Alcohol: Researchers suggest that alcohol can
change the way the body manages stress,
