VOLUNTEERS PATCH POTHOLES IN SUNYANI

You see, overtime our road gradually erodes as rain softens the ground with the added pressure from vehicles. So you see all these drivers dodging potholes, running into the other lane in the process. Welcome to not so smooth driving in Ghana = Bumpy rides. The big quetion is what are the road tolls collected used for? It’s who’s duty to maintain our roads? Potholes is a disease which is affecting Ghana today. The situation is not different in Brong Ahafo capital (Sunyani) as potholes feet apart in the middle of the road leading to Sunyani Regional Hospital. Luckily on the 16th of july this year, two middle-age men took it upon their self to patch the potholes. These men put warning signs on both sides of the road with the inscription ‘VOLUNTORY WORK ONE MAN 1000 PLEASE HELP ME GOD BLESS YOU!’ Thanks to the kind-hearted drivers who rewarded with GH¢1 and so on, whiles other drivers denied them. Whiles they were working i approached them to get some information from them but they said they will not utter a word to me. I thanked them, and when i was walking away from them one said ‘he may be a journalist’. Where is the reflections of ‘Better Ghana Agenda’? Again are Ghanaians not capable of handling our affairs?
