Petition launched to change result of Nigeria v Bosnia after referee is spotted ‘celebrating’ Nigeria win

Wow, wow, wow.

Nigeria were dogged by match fixing
allegations in the build up to the World Cup, and now an awkward picture has appeared online following their clash with Bosnia last night.

Peter Odemwingie’s goal helped the Super Eagles to victory, but they were lucky after Edin Dzeko had a goal harshly ruled out earlier in the game.

Referee Peter O’Leary was slammed for ruling out the strike, and then on the full-time whistle he was seemingly spotted ‘celebrating’ with the Nigeria goalkeeper.

Nigeria players were busy consoling their Bosnia counterparts at the time, who now bow out of the World Cup, while the incident was taking place.

A petition has since been launched to try and get the result of the game cancelled, and the fixture played again.
