The new album from Gaga
and Tony Bennett, will be
entitled Cheek To Cheek, and
will feature an array of
classic jazz standards from
the Great American
Songbook including "Anything
Goes," "It Don't Mean A
Thing (If It Ain't Got That
Swing)," "Sophisticated
Lady," "Lush Life," and the
record's title track, "Cheek
To Cheek."
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga
sure do know how to make
an entrance. The two, who
have become quite closer
over the years, arrived at
Rockefeller Plaza earlier this
morning in a Rolls Royce for
an appearance on TODAY.
The reason for their spot was
to unveil a big announcement
–– the release date of their
forthcoming, and much
talked about, jazz album.
Bennett and Gaga arrived on
the plaza and chatted with
Carson Daly. In speaking of
their relationship, Bennett
told Daly, "I love the way she
sings. She's a wonderful
person." Gaga returned the
compliment, stating, "He's a
legend, and it's a total honor
to be singing with him. He's
really changed my life,
asking me to sing with him."
Gaga and Bennett recorded a
television special Monday
that will air on PBS this fall,
and the album is set to be
released on on Sept. 23.
