A 14-year-old Ghanaian girl claiming to be the daughter of sensational
Hi-Life Songwriter, Producer, Composer and Singer Bisa K. Dei popped
up Tuesday September 30, 2014 on the airwaves.
The dark-skinned girl who gave her name as Evelyn Gyakwa, in an
exclusive interview with Peacefmonline.com said she was only told who
her father is a couple of months ago, and has been searching for him
for quite some time now.
Evelyn said she hails from Wassa Akropong in the Western Region, where
she was born and currently resides.
Narrating how she concluded that Hi-Life Singer is her father, Evelyn
said her mother Diana (who hails from Kumasi) died when giving birth
to her in Wassa Akropong.
She disclosed that she was adopted by the nurse who attended to her
late mum during the delivery process and who has been her guardian for
the past 14 years.
According to her, the nurse whose name she gave as Ataa works at the
only hospital in Wassa Akropong.
A JHS graduate, Evelyn stated that her foster mother who she initially
thought was her real mother, openly told her she is fed up and cannot
cater for her anymore and thus asked her to go and search for her
father.
"My mother (guardian) said my dad is dark-skinned and short in stature
who used to like singing and moved to Accra. She said his name is Bisa
K.Dei. She said she cannot continue taking care of me so I should come
and look for my father in Accra," she recounted.
Evelyn, who has "Odo Carpenter" (track performed by K. Dei) as her
ring tone, thus journeyed all the way to Accra and sought the
assistance of Peacefmonline.com to help her contact her father.
When the "Give It To Baba" crooner was contacted on phone, he flatly
dismissed the young lady's claim saying he has not fathered any child
with anyone by name Diana in Wassa.
He also denied ever having an amorous relationship with any woman that
has resulted in a child out of wed-lock.
"Who is she? Where is she from? I am very shocked, where is this
coming from? How can I give birth to a fourteen year old girl when I
am now 28 years old? It is not possible, I don't know her and I don't
know any Diana in Wassa Akropong," Bisa K. Dei asserted.
"Tell your mother I said she has given you the wrong name of your dad
because I don't know anybody who goes by that description. Considering
how old I am, I cannot have fathered you," Bisa K. Dei told Evelyn
when spoke to her on phone.
The case has since been reported to the Police for further
investigations if indeed Bisa is truly the father of Evelyn as she
claims.
