Brong Ahafo NDC Holds Congress To Elect New Party Organizers

The Brong Ahafo National Democratic Congress (NDC) has held a regional
delegates conference to elect new party organizers to steer the
affairs of the party.
The positions contested for were, Regional Youth Organizer, Deputy
Regional Youth Organzer, Deputy Regional Women Organizer and Regional
Women Organizer.
The occassion was witnessed by the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon.
Eric Opoku, Deputy Regional Minister, Hon. Justice Samuel Adjei,
Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Oppong Ababio, Sunyani
West District Chief Executive, Hon. Agnes Kusi, Dormaa Central
Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Gordon Asubonteng and other party
executives.
The election which was conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana
(EC), saw delegates from the various constituencies casting their
ballots.
At the end of a peaceful process, Kwadwo Takyi-Arhin emerged winner as
Regional Youth Organizer, Ayaaba John and Amponsah Yaw Eric as Deputy
Regional Youth Organizers, Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa II maintained her seat
as Regional Women Organizer, and Puopiel Geogina and Ntene Adam were
elected as Deputy Regional Women Organizers.
Mr. kwadwo Takyi-Arhin after his victory said, he wouldn't have
contested for the position if it's his self gains but to fight for
others.
"I hate selective justice and that's why i took the mantle."
He said the youth has suffered a lot and will fight for them now that
he is a National Executive Committee (NEC) member and wish Tein as a
body will be autonomous and have a seperate budget for their
activities without any hindrance from the main stream.
He added that 2016 will not be an easy task, so the party needs
'Generals' to the war front.
He promised to involve all the constituency organizers in his work.
Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa II Called on party members to remain uniter after
the party's elections and urged all women to vote massively for
President John Dramani Mahama coming election 2016.
