Two pastors robbed at gunpoint in A/R

Two Pastors of the Bantama Seventh Day Adventist(SDA) church in the
Ashanti Region were attacked by armed robbers last Tuesday.
The pastors, Felix Nimako Boansi and Moses Abankwa Ntiamoah who are
the District and Associate Pastors of the SDA Church respectively,
were heading towards Traboum to grace the 2014 Annual Youth Camp of
the Bantama District of the SDA when they suffered the attack.
It was reported that at around 7.25pm last Tuesday, road users who
found themselves on the Kumasi-Twedie road were subjected to the
attack.
While Pastor Nimako Boansi and his two sons were ordered to surrender
their belongings at gun point, Pastor Abankwa Ntiamoah for the fear of
losing his life had to leave personal belongings behind and run from
his vehicle to take cover in the bush.
The pastors who narrated their ordeal to the Daily Graphic said it was
a "do or die affair" that fateful Tuesday night
The Asokwa Divisional Police Command is investigating the incident
that occurred between Twedie and Foase in the Atwima Kwanwoma District
of the region.
No arrest has been made so far.
Drivers and passengers were also robbed of their personal belongings
worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
This is not the first armed robbery attack to hit the region.
A recent incident that occurred in the region left a Pastor of the
Lighthouse Chapel International(LCI), Richard Sallah dead.
The robbers who attacked the Abropo Ecobank Branch Manager at his
residence shot him and made away with an unspecified amount of money
The Police have the prime suspect behind the attack.They have also
assured residents living in the area that they will intensify security
to avert similar incidents in the future.
