An American of Ghanaian parentage, Mame Adjei, has been crowned Miss
Maryland, USA 2015 at a pageant held earlier this month at the North
Bethesda Hotel and Convention Centre in Bethesda, Maryland.
Ms Adjei graduated in May this year with a B.A. double major in
Political Science and African-American Studies from the Virginia
Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.
She is an avid reader interested in working for and with children and
young people through mentoring and other supportive activities.
During one of her visits to Ghana in 2012, Mame had internship
training at the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Section of
the then Ministry of Information where she assisted to proof-read and
edit news stories for the Ghana Government portal.
As the Miss Universe Organisation (pageant owners) prepares Mame Adjei
for the Miss USA 2016 contest, her humble request is for friends and
sympathisers as well as all Ghanaians, to pray for her to win the
ultimate prize.
