American singer and songwriter, Stevie Wonder, is now a Ghanaian citizen.
He swore an oath of allegiance to officially become a Ghanaian citizen.
Stevie took the oath of allegiance at the Jubilee House on May 13, 2024.
He made an affirmation to respect and protect the constitution of Ghana with a Bible in his hand.
Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, gave a certificate of citizenship and a Ghanaian passport to the 74-year-old singer.
President Akufo-Addo further congratulated Stevie Wonder.
He was extremely happy in a video posted online.
After three years of disclosing his plans to move to Ghana, Stevie Wonder’s dream has finally been fulfilled.
He officially became a citizen of Ghana on his 74th birthday.
