Kwabena Kwabena to bury dad January 31

Talented highlife artiste, George Kwabena Adu, known on stage as
Kwabena Kwabena, will lay the mortal remains of his dad to rest on
Saturday, January 31
His late dad, Mr. Samuel Kwadwo Boadu, 73, died on Thursday, November
13 in Accra. He had been battling an undisclosed ailment for some
time.
According to the family, there will be no wake keeping but the body
will lie in state on Saturday, January 31 followed by a memorial
service at the residence near St. John Grammar School in Achimota.
The mortal ramains of the late Badu will be laid to rest at the
Achimota Cemetery on the same day.
On Sunday February 1, 2014, the family, friends and well wishers will
converge at the Apostolic Church of Ghana, St. Johns Assembly for a
thanksgiving service.
Kwabena Kwabena, speaking shorthly after his father's death in an
interview with Myjoyonline.com last year said the late Badu played a
pivotal role in his music career.
"My dad influenced my growth in music because [he] is somebody who
loved music a lot, though he didn't do music professionally. My dad
played all kinds of music. I grew up listening to all genre of music.
That is what I would say is so influential on my career," he said.
According to the 'Bue Kwan' hit singer, his father's passing is "such
a loss but I would say that it's for the better. He has done his part
and may his soul rest in peace."
His dad left behind four children.
