Information reaching Graphiconline indicates that the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East in the Central Region, Isaac Kingsley Ehun-Armah who resigned his position last week as a result of poor health has passed away.
He was said to have passed on at the Central Regional Hospital on Wednesday at age 67. He left behind four children.
Mr Ehun-Armah was appointed DCE for the area in 2009 but had to resign last week due to poor health.
He was reportedly advised by some members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as some prominent chiefs in the area to relinquish his position and pay more attention to his health.
Information gathered indicated that he has not been well for some time now and that he has been seeking medical attention frequently at the hospital, a situation which prompted chiefs and some party gurus to appeal to him to take a bow.
Sources said his condition was dire such that he could not even personally deliver his resignation letter last week and that his colleague Chief Executives from Agona East and West delivered the letter on his behalf to the Central Regional Minister, Mr Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, in Cape Coast.
