Ghanaian gospel diva, Diana Asamoah who is known for her inspirational
songs and her powerful voice says any gospel artiste who argues over
VGMA awards is a baby in Christ, and must pray to gain favour from the
lord.
According to “Pentecost Soree Ndwom” hitmaker, their genre of music is
solely to lift the name of God high and shouldn’t be measured by a
system designed by humans.
She therefore advised gospel musicians to work hard in order to receive blessings of God, but not man.
Diana disclosed this in an interview with Okay FM’s Abieku Santana,
pointing out her personal view about VGMA awards and how she has been
cheated over the years.
“I have had very good songs over the past 3 years and by some reason
they were not nominated, so I wasn’t even expecting any nominations,”
she said
The “Pentecost Gya” singer advised gospel musicians to sing from their heart and not for money because the end time is near.
Despite her unconcern about the annual industry awards, Evang. Diana
Asamoah has been nominated for five categories in this years VGMA
including “Gospel Song of the Year” & “Vodafone Most Popular Song of
the Year”.
