It is with sadness that the Musicians Union of Ghana announces the death
of another renowned musician and music industry pillar Stan Plange of
Uhuru Dance Band fame. The sad incident occurred last Thursday at the
Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Stan Plange was one of the founding fathers of Musiga and till his death
remained an active member of the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund of
Musiga.
Stan Plange played in the Uhuru Dance Band and was the leader of the
tour of Eastern Africa by Highlife musicians organized by the late
Faisal Helwani.
He was for many years responsible for management of the GBC band.
Our hearts are with his family members.
May his soul rest in peace.
