Efya has called on Ghanaians to join the #DumsorMustStop vigil set to
hold in Accra on Saturday,May 16.
Accordingto singer, the energy crisis has brought unbearable
situations in the life of Ghanaians.
She is optimistic that there would be an improvement if the
authorities aremade to feel the frustrations of the people.
"If you are feeling the effects of the erratic power supply, then you
need to be there. It is time we started speaking up, let them know
that we are not happy with what isgoing on. It is our country and we
have to fight for it. There are people dying, hospitals don't have
lights todo operations, mothers are delivering in the dark, even the
hospital that is supposed to be safe is not safe."
The May 16 #DumsorMustStop vigil, which will be held at Green Park
opposite the Villagio at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange, according to
organizers, is a non-partisan event which seeks to givean amplified
voice of the many Ghanaian who are afflicted by the phenomenon of the
current power cuts in the country.
Celebrities expected to join the May 16 vigil include Yvonne Nelson,
Sidney, Ama K. Abebrese, DKB, Kweku Elliot, D-Black, Eddie Watson,
Becca, Deborah Vanessa, Efya, Kwaw Kese, E.L, Nikki Samonas, Van
Vicker, XO Senavoe, Confidence Haugen and many more.
