It is deadly to date a male celebrity, actress Yvonne Nelson has said.
Speaking on Joy FM's Personality Profile on Drive Time with Lexis
Bill, the anti-dumsor campaigner said it will be the "biggest mistake
to date a male celebrity."
"It is deadly out there," she advised women who were relishing to date
celebrity men and described them as dishonest men who were not to be
trusted.
It is not clear if she spoke from her dating experiences but Yvonne
says men who are itching to date a celebrity woman can do so because
they are more trustworthy.
When she was subjected to the check and uncheck session by Lexis Bill,
the movie goddess gave quite a clue what her dating checklist has been
over the years.
The Drive Time host only had to mention the name of male celebrity and
Nelson had to respond check if there was ever a 'thing' between them
and uncheck if there was nothing.
For Derek Boateng it was uncheck. For Ice Prince it was uncheck with
an explanation that she was not going to date a guy who had
impregnated another woman at the time. For Davido it was uncheck. As
for John Dumelo it was a three-legged"uncheck, uncheck, uncheck"
'assault' on the Ghanaian actor.
When Chase was mentioned it was a mixture of check and uncheck. She
had a crush on him during her school days but it did not last.
When Nigerian musician Iyanya was mentioned, he had a glorious"check"
but it appeared that check did not last long.
Yvonne Nelson admitted to having been broken hearted by a man.
She would not name names but for anybody to guess it was Iyanya will
not be too far from the truth.
The beauty on the screen has a big phobia for failure but she has a
number of failures of her own.
She failed to be Miss Ghana, she failed her SSCE and her NOV/DEC
exams. It took a second attempt atNOV/DEC to get to the Central
University.
But her legendary failures gave way to a colossus, a bigger legend on
the screen who won many accolades in Ghana and Africa.
She has very few friends in government; her favorite politician in
Ghana is Ex-president Rawlings.
