Actors, Chris Attoh and Lydia Forson, are among personalities who have
been nominated for this year's Fashion Icon Awards which is scheduled
for Sunday, June 14, at the Lifstyle Gallery, Spintex Road, Accra.
Apart from these two, singer, Efya and Ghanaian-Russian designer,
Beatrice Arthur of B'ExotiQ have been nominated in the Personality of
the Year Award category.
An annual event to celebrate stakeholders in the fashion industry,
Fashion Icon awards was established to appreciate the works of fashion
designers in the year under review.
In its second year, the event has provided the means for-up-and coming
designers to show off their talent and also to unearth new talents for
the fashion industry.
At a pre-awards event a fortnight ago, the Events Administrator,
Jennifer Richlove said apart from designers who will have the
spotlight on the night, other professionals in the fashion industry
will also be honoured for their contribution to the growth of the
industry.
In all, winners will be awarded in seven categories which include
Fashion Blog/Website of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year,
Fashion Stylist of the Year, Stylish Creative Director of the Year,
Fashion Communicator of the Year, and Best Model Management/Agency of
the Year.
