A girl of ten complained of stomach ache at a school in Brazil and
just an hour later, She gave birth after she was sent to the hospital
by her teachers who didn't know she was in labour.
The girl although was only seven month pregnant but gave birth normally.
Mum and baby are being care for in the hospital's neonatal unit.
She told police herstepfather, 40, abused her. He is now accused of rape.
The girl's mother claimed she had not seen herdaughter's stomach
bulge and she had no idea she was pregnant.
According to police, the girl's mother said that her daughter started
to struggleat school and become moreintroverted from October last
year.
Police in Belo Horizonte, south-east Brazil, said: "Themother alleges
she and other family hadn't noticed."Police chief Capt. Castro said:
"The mother alleges that she, along with other family members, hadn't
noticed, taking into consideration the child's small frame," Metro
reposted.
