A 13-year-old boy of the Bethel Preparatory School at Somanya in the

An eyewitness, Austin Ofori Addo told Citi News, the pupil, who was
the school's bell boy, was nowhere to be found when it was time for
dining and the bell had to be rung.
According to him, his friends foundhim hanging on one of the school's
staircase moments after they launched a search for him.
"Yesterday [Sunday] around 6:30pm, it was time for dining so they were
looking for the bell boy to come and ring the bell for the students to
get inside. The bell boy was nowhere to be found, but somebody later
alerted the teachers that they saw him going to the top so they should
go and search there."
"When they got there, they found out that this boy had hanged himself.
He used the handle of his school bag, which is more or less like a

earlier in the day, he was seen hanging a rope around the neck of a
live bird he had caught.

later, he was found hanging on the staircase
The deceased's parents were immediately contacted and his body has
