You gotta know better if you think demolition exercises will only take
place in Accra…
According to the Local Government Minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije,
President Mahama has issued a directive to all Metropolitan, Municipal
and District Assemblies to evacuate all unauthorized structures; a
step to ensure that the June 3 flooding disaster which claimed many
innocent lives never happens again.
The Minister who was at the floor of parliament yesterday, indicated
that "the various assemblies have been notified of the President's
directive and already some have started working it out."
But should you allow people to put up illegal structures before you
think of pulling it down?
Indeed, we need to change our attitude…God Bless Our Home Land and
make our people change their mentality.
