A motivational speaker cum radio presenter at J. life Fm in Sunyani, Pastor Eben Affel has charged the youth of Ghana to involve themselves in decision making.
According to him young people in the country are often relegated to the sidelines and excluded from having a say in decisions that will affect them.
He explained that the lack of youth participation in important decisions is detrimental to all — regardless of age.
“Many of the youth of our days are mostly blaming government and also blaming situations around them and some of them have decided not to do anything because of situations; but it’s time for them to know who they are and be motivated to fight ahead, and involve themselves in decision making.”
Pastor Eben speaking with the News Hunter Daily Magazine as part of the advocacy towards the World Youth Celebration on Wednesday, 12th of August stated that: “The youth of Ghana should bear in mind that they are responsible for their lives and they shouldn’t waste time for someone to help them — because they are responsible to move their life forward.”
He acknowledged the reality on the ground but yet said that the youth in spite of today’s major problems and challenges should be motivated by greater values and keep on doing what they need to do and move on.
