The CEO of the Volta Regime Music Group (VRMG), Edem, and the entire crew are gearing up to thrill music loving fans in the Brong Ahafo regional capital on Friday September 18.

The event, expected to shake up the metropolis, would take place at the Center for National Culture (CNC) in Sunyani.

The “Book & Rhymes” tour kicked off at the Ho Polytechnic on the 20th of December last year. The next stop was in Hohoe on April 4th and Swedru on July 4th 2015: all after Edem released his third studio album “Books & Rhymes” on the 12th of November 2014.

Edem, speaking in an interview with Ike Frimpong on Loud in Gh on Sunyani based Sky Fm said all the previous shows had enjoyed a massive turn out and he expects the upcoming concert in Sunyani and Techiman to be just as successful.

“Well, I’m in Sunyani on Friday and Techiman on Saturday respectively; it’s in line with our nationwide tour which started in December last year. It’s the Book N Rhymes Tour. We’ve done about seven spots for the show and feel Sunyani and Techiman needs to be part of the celebrations so definitely we are bringing all the entire team to Sunyani on Friday. I am coming with Gasmilla, Praye and all the team are up in Sunyani on Friday.”

Edem hinted that he may end up collaborating with an upcoming artiste in the region.

“Usually, what I do when on tour like this is to look at the corners of the town to find a hot upcoming artiste in the area and mingle with them and even hit to the studio to cook up something.”

Edem was trying to hold his fans in suspense whilst explaining what his new track with the Mavin Records’ Reekado Banks “Nyedzilo” means;

“Reek and I put a new record, it is a continental collaboration and we released it some days ago, I will explain to everybody what ‘Nyedzilo’ means when I get to Sunyani,” he said when asked about the meaning of ‘Nyedzilo’.

Anyway, we don’t want to hold our readers in suspense so we found out that “Nyedzilo”, means “My heart” in his native Ewe dialect.
