President of Democratic Youth Alliance, Charles Akwasi Asiedu has called on political activists, particularly communicators of all the political parties in the country to refrain from politics of insults—and campaign on issues. According to him, it would be a waste of time for NDC Communicators to attack people’s personality—whereby they can use such opportunities to convey the good works and developmental projects engendered by the John Dramani Mahama administration. He posited that President John Dramani Mahama can easily win the 2016 elections without campaigning because of his proficient developmental agenda towards a better Ghana. Mr. Charles AKwasi Asiedu disclosed this after members of Democratic Youth Alliance embarked on a cleanup exercise on Saturday, at Asankragua, capital of Wasa Amenfi West district in the Western Region. He revealed that Democratic Youth Alliance (DYA) is a pressure group which seeks “to network the entire country politically, socially, economically and environmentally to propagate the ideas of government.” “Democratic Youth Alliance is a melting pot of all walks of life for grassroots organization of petty traders, peasant farmers and academically challenge in the society—to bring national activities into a limelight,” he said. He gushed that the National Sanitation Day exercise which was launched last year under the auspices of the local government and rural development ministry to rid the country of filth and unsanitary conditions is a laudable idea—and pledged the support of members of Democratic Youth Alliance to partake in the exercise which takes place on the first Saturday of every month.
