My Concentration Is Not On Winning Awards—Says Kwame Nana

Kwame Nana Gyabaah popularly
known as Kooko, became a household name after he was signed into the NKZ Music
Record owned by Ghanaian hiplife artist Nana Agyei Maradona known in showbiz as

 Being the first rapper to propagate in the
Bono dialect, Kwame Nana has carved a niche for himself after releasing his hit
single ‘Od3’.

Last year, his latest
single titled: ‘Obiaa to’ enjoyed massive airplay and internet downloads of
which some industry players has tipped it as one of the most listened songs in
the region, Ghana and has also reached global audience.
After bagging all
these successes, Kwame Nana (Kooko) says his concentration currently is not on
winning awards.
Kwame Nana posited
that this is the time that he has to work hard for his fans to enjoy the best
of him.
“I’m not desperate in
winning awards for now. It’s all about working hard for my fans to enjoy what I
have,” he told DJ Murphy Lee on Storm Fm’s Entertainment Extra.
However, Kwame Nana
explained that he will be glad if he receives endorsement or recognitions in
the line of his duty as an artist.
“I will gratefully
accept any award if it comes my way. It’s just that I won’t concentrate on it,”
he enunciated.
