Mr. Odeneho Appiah, CEO of MEDEF

Media For Development Foundation a Human Rights non Profit
Media Advocacy Organization has urged the government and Nananom to protect our
water bodies so that people will get quality water to drink.

According to MEDEF both Nananom and the government have a very
important role to play because its Nananom who gives lands for farming, construction
and others and it’s the government who gives permit, so Nananom should stop
selling lands which are close to water bodies and government should not give
permit to those who buy lands which are close to water bodies.

The CEO of MEDEF Emmanuel O. Appiah disclosed this at the
world water day celebration in Sunyani.
“According to UN 783 million people around the world still
lack access to clean water and millions who work in water related industries do
not have their rights protected. We should support our self in protecting our
water bodies,” he articulated.
Mr. Emmanuel O. Appiah called on Ghanaians to join forces to prevent any calamity from bad drinking water.
