The buildup into the 2016 general elections is getting interesting as many Ghanaian celebrities are joining the campaign trails.

After declaring agenda 57 percent for the Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Veteran Ghanaian actor, Alex Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has said he will not blame some of his colleagues who have joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Agya Koo speaking in an interview with Ark Fm’s Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen said they also have the right to support whoever they want to.

When asked whether he has received something from the NPP, he answered: “If you have followed me since the concert party time till date you will know who I am. I have worked hard for this country and do not have envy for money.  I will not blame those who have thrown their support for President John Mahama…they have their right to make a choice. If they think they can do a good job for the NDC government and they have rewarded them with cars…I do not see anything wrong about it. But for me, I have not received anything from the NPP. “

“We knew how the state of Ghana was before NDC came into power. People are now wailing due to the untold hardship that their administration has brought to Ghanaians. Businesses are collapsing and nothing positive has been achieved. Ghana needs change so I and some of my colleagues have come together to form agenda 57 percent for Nana Akufo Addo.

“We are planning to launch a campaign plan to help Nana to oust NDC out power…we will go length and breadth of the country to ensure that Nana Akufo Addo’s dream to become Ghana’s next president come to past. I love my country and I’m not endorsing Nana Addo because of money,” Agya Koo stated.
