Ghanaian Film Makers To Make Movie About Peace

Veteran Ghanaian actor and producer, Mr. Bob Smith Jnr has hinted that films makers in Ghana are planning to create a movie about peace as the country prepares vote in December this year.

Mr. Bob Smith Jnr who is an executive member of the Films Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), speaking with Mr. Lattus on J.Life Fm’s Chart Show said there is the need for them to play their quota to ensure peaceful elections in the country.

“We will visit the President, Political leaders, Chiefs and Opinions leaders and all stakeholders for their peaceful messages. We will do stories about peace and televised it for Ghanaians to know why it is necessary to embrace peace.”

Speaking on the just ended FIPAG elections, Mr. Bob Smith Jnr said the newly elected team is poised to deliver on their promises for the Ghanaian movie industry to thrive.

He disclosed that the immediate passed executives showed maturity to accept the results. He was hopeful that they will throw their weight behind them to ensure the success of the association.

Mr. Smith Jnr posited that telenovelas which has hijacked the Ghanaian screens will have a negative effect on Ghanaian children also the culture and traditions of the country.

He indicated that they will work hard to produce quality movies for Ghanaians.

“We all need to join hands. Ghanaians will patronize in our contents if we have good and quality contents on our screens,” he stated.

The Diaboloman also charged the government and all stakeholders to help promote Ghanaian movies as they are ready to invest more into production.
