You may be wrong if you think that the National Democratic Party (NDP) does not have a running mate.
Flag bearer of the Party, Nana Konadu Agyamang Rawlings has hinted that the NDP will soon unveil its running mate as Ghana prepares to go to the polls in December this year.
Giving a clue on who her running mate will be, Nana Konadu told Kwabena Obeng Akrofi on Ark in the morning that it will be gender insensitive if she picks a female as a running mate—hence she prefers a male as a running mate.
According to her choosing a male or female will not guarantee her victory—but rather being pragmatic.
She revealed that the party will not have parliamentary aspirants in all the 275 constituencies.
“We will have representatives at areas where they have a better chance of winning.”
Nana Konadu who filed her nominations form yesterday at the Electoral Commission’s headquarters in Accra said the amount being charged by the commission is too much.
She lamented that poor people who are knowledgeable will be deprived from contributing to ensure the growth of the country due to the exorbitant fees being charged by the EC.
Nana Konadu asserted that for EC to charge exorbitantly exposes President Mahama’s incompetency in handling the economy.
