Following the release of the first batch of DKM creditors validated list, Customers of the defunct microfinance company has been assured not to panic.
Jones Nathaniel Ansah, an official at the liquidator’s office has said another batch of validated creditors list will be released soon.
“Payments will commence on the 17th of October, it should have been today but we postponed it due to some challenges. There are some specific banks which have been listed and the list has now been pasted at certain areas that we made mention in a press statement that we issued. Customers who cannot find their names in the first list should not panic because another list of validated creditors will be released soon. What we have now is what PWC has validated. The firm is working tirelessly,” he told Kwabena Obeng Akrofi on Ark in the morning.
“There will be payment of dividends to unsecured creditors of DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited (hereinafter called ‘DKM’) whose claims have been agreed and validated in the liquidation process, in the week commencing 17th October 2016.
“On Monday, 10th October 2016, the first batch of unsecured creditors namely, DKM Investment and Susu Account holders only, whose claims have been validated and agreed in the liquidation process will be posted at the following locations,” a statement released by the Registrar General’s Department read.
Over 70,000 customers of DKM Microfinance have so far been validated by the Official Liquidator for payments to be made.
