High-life Musician and a member of the ruling
National Democratic Congress, Rex Owusu Marfo known on stage as Rex Omar has
said that government’s intention to invest in the creative arts will constitute
in creating more jobs in the country.

The
NDC has stated in its manifesto plans to invest in tourism and creative arts
and thus to build tourism centers in every region of the country.
Speaking
to Rex Omar over the issue with DJ Sly on Weekend City Show, he said that
tourism has a lot of components which bring more jobs to the youth as people
will be trained on how to receive tourists in hotels, drinking spots and
tourism sites which will end up in eradicating unemployment in the country.
He
added that creating enable environment in the creative arts will also boost
employment in the country as artistes, painters and other talented citizens
will benefit from it to improve upon their lives.
He
snubbed the New Patriotic Party’s promise to build theater for every region to
develop the creative art industry, saying it is a mere promise which Ghanaians
should not rely on as the NPP failed to keep their enormous promises when they
assumed office in 2001.
