Ghanaian gospel musician, Opiesie Esther says she was confident that Joe Mettle was destined to win the ultimate prize at the 18th edition of the Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

She enunciated that the victory is for all the gospel fraternity.

“It is all about time. God has time for everything and this was the right time for him to crown his own children. If he decides, nobody can change it. I threw my support for Joe and I was very confident that he was going to win,” he told Mr. Lattus on J. Life FM’s Entertainment Chart Show.

She added: “Joe Mettle has worked very hard and has been on so many platforms. The favor was on him and it is God who knows why he chose him over others.”

Opiesie Esther who had three (3) nominations but failed to grab an award said she is not worried.

“I am not worried because I know I am the true winner. What I expected to win was the gospel artiste of the year, Nacee won it but I see myself as the winner.”
