I AM Not Mzbel’s Sound-Alike—Says Bigail

Ghanaian neo soul vocalist, songwriter, performer, afro pop and dancehall artist, Abigail Boatemaa otherwise known as Bigail has said she does not sound like Ghanaian hiplife artist, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel.

Some of her fans have asserted that she is Mzbel’s sound-alike, but when asked about what she thinks about this in an interview with the News Hunter Magazine, Bigail said: “That’s what people are saying but I do not see it that way.”

Bigail who boast of writing her own songs said she came into music to inspire and encourage people.

She disclosed that she has a lot of good things to offer.

“As an artist I am here to make a change,” she stated, adding that: “I want to use my music to inspire people positively—and also encourage them to believe in themselves.”

After coming out with debut single ‘Don’t Touch’, followed by ‘Asa’, Bigail is working on some new projects which will be ready soon.

Bigail told the News Hunter Magazine that Barbadian singer; Robyn Rihanna Fenty is her role model.

“It is not easy to come out as an artist. There are a lot of challenges that you will encounter,” she lamented.
