The MP for Bodi constituency Mr. Ahi Samson
has said that the Majority leader of Parliament, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu has
shown gross disrespect to the deputy minority leader, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak and
the minority as a whole.

He made this known when he spoke on Ark FM which
transmitted live from Parliament House early morning of February 8, 2018.

 Mr.
Ahi Samson substantiated his claims with some senses of retaliation that
“If you don’t respect, so do we’’ and “and if you are good at insults,
we have people equally good as you.’’

He further explained that his claims
against the majority leader centers on the “If you are indeed
honorable” comment the majority leader used in a speech towards the deputy
minority leader.

The host of Ark In The Morning, Kwabena
Obeng Akrofi interjected in a query asking if he referred  to the minority in parliament as the
“we” in his “If you don’t respect, so do we’’ remarks as he
emphatically responded saying “Yes, Members of Parliament.”

The host again questioned if that should be
the ways of Parliament which the youth of today were to emulate.

In response, the MP for Bodi constituency,
Mr. Ahi said that the majority leader is supposed to know better but if he
decides to do otherwise, the minority would follow suit.
