aYo-Ghana Intermediaries LTD in collaboration with MTN and Metropolitan Life Insurance, has introduced a special insurance package dubbed “aYo Recharge With Care,” a micro insurance policy for all Ghanaian MTN subscribers.
According to the Country Manager of aYo-Ghana, Mr Francis Gotah, the policy is targeted at the lower and middle level persons like Artisans, Traders, Hawkers, etc.
Explaining the policy on Suncity Radio, Monday morning, Mr Gotah said the policy has two components – Funeral and Hospitalization.
The Funeral policy covers the subscriber and one family member, while the Hospitalization policy covers the subscriber alone. The subscriber is given Ghc 3,000 on the death of a family member, to cushion him or her for the funeral expenses. With the Hospitalization policy, a subscriber pays monthly premium of between 50p – Ghc 2 from airtime top ups, and is given Ghc 50 daily when hospitalized up to a maximum 30days on admission, to offset medical expenses.
He gave the assurance that claims were prompt without any frustrations, because the programme is designed to fulfil a specific purpose. More so, their insurance under writers, Metropolitan Insurance and partners MTN were credible brands that would not toy with the public.
Mr Gotah indicated that prospective subscribers could dial *296#, to sign up and select option one, for further details; and for claims, one has to submit medical admission documents on Whatsapp number 0555948648 or www.ayo.com.gh, or through any of MTN Service Centres, and after everything, claims are paid into beneficiary’s wallet.
Age limit for subscriber is 18-65years, while the family member should not be more than 65years.
Non claimers over several years, stand to benefit from airtime bonus and data bundles.
The aYo Country Manager urged Ghanaians to patronize the product because such insurance policy grows the economy.
