Ace Ghanaian gospel musician, Hannah Marfo, has pleaded to the general public to help her raise ¢43,000 for her daughter’s surgery.
Sharing her woes with Franky 5 on Hitz FM’s ‘This Is Gospel’, Hannah said she hasn’t made enough money from her long career as a musician despite releasing hit upon hits.
According to her, the Ghanaian music industry has not helped her to live her dream life. She added that her concentration was not on making money—because her focus was just to serve her maker (God).
Being a Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), the gospel singer revealed the royalties she receives from them is not enough.
It appears her only hope now, is for Ghanaians to go to her aid to take care of her ailing 17-year-old daughter.
She lamented that the availability of pen drives and the internet has contributed to the collapse of the Ghanaian music industry.
Hannah Marfo however, disclosed her readiness to resort to the modern way of doing things in the industry.
