The father of late Ghanaian musician, Ebony Reigns, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, has pleaded with Ghanaians to help preserve the legacies of her late daughter.

Speaking in an interview with Melvina Frimpong Manso on Suncity 97.1 FM’s Showbiz 971 in Sunyani—which was monitored by the News Hunter Magazine, Nana Opoku Kwarteng stressed that preserving Ebony Reigns’ legacy is a top priority for him.

“We cannot betray Nana Hemaa’s  [Ebony Reigns] memory for anything. No amount of money can help me to memorize Nana Hemaa. I live in my own house; I bought my cars before she ventured into music. I am of age…promoting and preserving the works that my daughter did before her demise is my top priority but not the money.

“As for Nana Hemaa’s legacy, I will plead with all Ghanaians to forgive me, if they think I am talking too much. It is not me; I am dying within me all because of my daughter’s legacy,” he stated passionately.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng added: “Starting the foundation is all about money…it is not that the family wants to have access to the money and spend it. We should all team up and preserve her legacies to honour her. Ohemaa’s legacy must live on. All media personalities, fans, music lovers and all Ghanaians should join us to preserve her legacies.”

If you think Ebony Reigns’ father like talking, then this is the reasons why he is talking: “I just don’t walk around to talk; I talk when the media call on me for answers. Nana Hemaa went through a lot so if she is no more, what is due her must be given.”
