Ghanaian gospel musician, Brother Sammy, has been arrested for dealing in unapproved drugs.
Report says he was arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police—and assisting them in their investigations.
This follows claims by the musician that his drugs can HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases.
However, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has condemned his actions—indicating that the said products are not approved and registered.
“The FDA wishes to inform the general public that it has not registered any product for the cure of HIV/AIDS neither has any approval been given to the said Artiste for the production and sale of any FDA regulated product”, a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of FDA, Delese A.A.Darko read.
FDA further cautioned the public not to patronize unregistered/approved products.
