VIP and Airport Premium Transport Limited have launched new buses and terminal in Sunyani, capital of the Bono Region.
The Public Relations Officer and Marketer for the company, Ebenezer Amankwah Boateng disclosed that the company will serve its clients on a 24-hour routine.
He assured a safe travelling for passengers as they pay less.
Innovatively, VIP and Airport Premium Transport Limited have rolled out a system which will enable passengers to book for a seat by using Mobile Money Services while the pay as you go system is also in place.
Mr Amankwah Boateng told www.newshuntermag.com in an interview after the launch of the buses and terminal that the company has put measures in place to protect their passengers and workers from the deadly Coronavirus.
“We have provided face masks to all our workers, water, soap, tissues and hand sanitizers are also available for our passengers to wash their hands when they come to the terminal and before boarding the buses. We will adhere to all the safety measures outlined by health officials,” he stated.
The Kontihene of Sunyani Traditional Council, Oboaman Bofotia Boamponsem II, who was present at ceremony advised the company to be vigilante and security cautious.
“I will be happy if you employ some residents of Sunyani. Be vigilante and security cautious. Check taxis that will pick passengers from your terminals and do everything to ensure their safety. Drivers, mates, bookmen or loading boys and others must be patient. Treat your passengers with care and that will make your work grow steadily,” he said.
The VIP and Airport Premium Transport Limited terminal in Sunyani is located at opposite the Old Slaughter House (Wednesday Market) in Area 2.
Currently, the buses load from Sunyani to Kumasi, Accra, Wa, Hamile, Tamale, Bolgatanga, Goaso, Bibibiani, Bogoso/Tarkwa/Takoradi and Aflao with very affordable prices.
