Amakye Dede Reveals How Ex-President JJ Rawlings Tried To Unite Ghanaian Musicians

One of Ghana’s premier highlife musicians, Amakye Dede has revealed how Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings contributed to the growth of the music industry.

Amakye Dede, who is also known as ‘Iron Boy’, said in an interview on TV3’s ‘New Day’ program that the Ex-Ghanaian President who passed on yesterday tried to unite musicians in the country.

He further stated that his demise is a huge blow to Ghana and the music industry.

“During his time, he tried his best to put the musicians into one family,” he revealed.

Amakye Dede also disclosed that the deceased former President liked most of his songs—and he attended his concerts whenever he has time.

“I’m going to see what we can do to arrange the funeral,” Amakye Dede posited after he sent his condolence to the family.
