Veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician, Dinah Hammond has advised her colleagues to access themselves well before they accept to marry pastors.

Gospel musicians getting married to pastors are very common nowadays. Sadly, some of these marriages do not stand the test of time.

On this backdrop, Dinah Hammond, who has been in the Gospel music business for about thirty (30) years now—and married to a pastor has advised her colleagues.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Murphy on Todays Radio which was monitored by Newshuntermag.com, Mrs Hammond stated that being a pastor’s wife is a calling.

She cautioned people, most especially Gospel musicians not to marry a pastor if God has not called them to do so.

The ‘W’anko Ama Me A” composer stressed that if they have not been given the strength to marry pastors, they may have problems along the way.

She also advised pastors who are married to Gospel musicians to support their ministries to grow and love them unconditionally while the women also support the work of their husbands.

Dinah Hammond added that some of these pastors prevent their Gospel musician wives to accept invitations to perform at different churches after marriage and that has been causing a lot of problems.

She disclosed that most pastors choose to marry Gospel musicians because they think they can support their ministries with their God-given talents as musicians.
