Renowned Ghanaian actor, Alex Kofi Adu, well known as Agya Koo, has reiterated the real reason why the movie industry in the country collapsed.
Agya Koo, who was credited for saving the Ghanaian movie industry some years ago following the influx of Nigerian movies in Ghana, stressed on the cause of the collapse of the industry when speaking in an interview with DJ Roy on Kumasi-based Kessben FM.
While some people are blaming President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the popular actor stated that he has no hand in the collapse of the industry.
He, however, blamed movie producers and directors on the collapse of the Ghanaian movie industry.
According to him, their decision to sideline him is the main reason why the movie industry has collapsed.
Agya Koo indicated that he was a household name and many people were buying his movies because of the love they have for him and his talent.
He advised them to revise their notes if they want the Ghanaian movie industry to come back to its glory days.
