Ghanaian Highlife musician, KK Fosu has called on Ghanaians and lovers of highlife music to build and rally behind Kuami Eugene to win BET and Grammy Awards because he is the hottest now.
The ‘Anadwo Yede’ hitmaker in an interview with Dj Sly on Sunyani-based Ark FM said highlife is now reigning over all the other genres of music in Ghana and Kuami Eugene has been spearheading this agenda for over two years now.
“Highlife is now holding the crown to Ghana music so far as Kuami Eugene is standing for highlife, so let us all throw our support behind him,” he averred.
According to the President of D Style Family, he is not envious of the ‘Open Gate’ hitmaker and will never be because Kuami Eugene before and after winning the overall Artiste of the year in 2020 has been on top and the most featured artiste in Ghana.
“From the time Kuami Eugene started two, three years ago before and after winning VGMA Artiste of the year till date, he is the most featured Artiste now because he’s featured by the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta wale and Okyeame Kwame recently.
“Kuami Eugene is all over and it’s about time we build this boy to BET and Grammy Awards straight up because he is handling the belt,” he told Dj Sly on the Weekend City Show.
“When it comes to Ghana Music Kuami Eugene is one of the hottest, when it comes to Africa, he is one of the hottest, Rockstar is moving so I think we should all demonstrate our love and rally behind but not to be envious of him,” KK Fosu added.
Asked if we should expect a collaboration any time soon, he said his collaboration is ordained by God and does not compose or sing with trending issues but anything can happen between them at any time.
