Popular Ghanaian musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, aka Stonebwoy, has reacted to the decision of the VGMA Board to lift the ban placed on Shatta Wale and him.
If you would recall, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were banned indefinitely after their melee at the 20th edition of the award scheme.
However, the Board announced their decision to lift the ban in a statement issued on February 12, 2021.
According to them, they took such a decision at an inaugural meeting of the 22nd VGMA Board.
Reacting to this, Stonebwoy in a Twitter post averred they should have met with them or their reps before the decision to lift the ban.
He wrote: “Dear VGMA Board & Scheme organisers, I hear the purpose of the VGMA is to celebrate and project Ghanaian musicians and music. If that is so, it takes nothing from you to meet with us the artistes/our reps b4 reaching decisions that affect us and communicating them to the public.
“The right to be heard is a principle that applies in every noble society. Even the all seeing God, who had already seen and knew all that Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden, still made sure he heard them before he took action against them. #IfTheySoDesire really???”
