The Salvation Army Ghana Territory Men's Fellowship helds their 2014

congress in Sunyani, capital of the Brong Ahafo region.

Theme for this year's congress was: Man, Walking In The Light Of God.

Colonel Joseph Lukau, Territorial Commander of Ghana, speaking at the

congress said, anyone who walks in the dark may stumble or step on a

snake but whoever walks in the light has a good relationship with God.

He said walking in the light is not moving from one place to the other

but change of lifestyle. He cited that tongue, action, attitude and

desire finally becomes a character of a person. "Men of light are good

citizens to their nation."

He added that, everybody who is in the light must always say the truth

and also ask for forgiveness.

He charged men of light to rejoice with those who are rejoicing and

comfort those who's heart are saddened. He noted that, men of God can

testify that they are different; they love their neighbours and care

for the needy, and also pray for improvement and development. "They

are blessing to the family, to his spouse and his nation."

"Nobody can be a peace maker, if you are not peaceful yourself." he added.

Hon. Eric Opoku, Regional Minister of Brong Ahafo, addressing the

congregation said, The hall mark of every good christian is humility

and the fear of God.

He stated that indisciplain has reached it's highest peak in the

african continent and therefore called on the churches to teach their

followers to adopt a christ-life behaviour. "People will know where

you belong to by the way you dress and speak".

He said, Richness, Honour and Long life are things that everybody in

the world want to have, and some have to kill and destroy to enjoy all

these, and that's the cause of our problems in this world.

He entreated all present to pray for the President of the nation, H.E

John Dramani Mahama for a 'Better Ghana'.

Mr. Kwaku Owusu Yeboah, Marriage Counsellor, said, Men will account

for the lifestyle of their children and wives. "After the creation of

Adam and Eve, God put an end to creation and all power has been giving

to men."

He added that, wives are there to support, challenge and love men.

"it's the responsibility of men to do all things, but wives are there

to support them."

He charged men to invest in the lord, and also communication is very

important in every successful marriage.
