A hearse driver, Anthony Kwabena Obeng has perished in a car accident.
Newshuntermag.com has gathered that the 49-year-old driver died following an accident at Botokrom near Berekum in the Bono Region on Friday.
According to a report, the deceased was driving the hearse from Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality towards Berekum when the accident happened at Botokrom.
The sad accident has been confirmed by the Berekum Municipal Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Enerst Ankamah Addo.
He stated that the police are yet to know what caused the accident but an investigation has been launched.
However, DSP Ankamah Addo revealed that the hearse Benz bus with registration number BA 242 -18 somersaulted and landed in a nearby bush, resulting in the death of Obeng.
He added that the body of Obeng and the one he was carrying in the hearse had been deposited at the St Anthony Hospital in Drobo.
