The news about the Takoradi Woman, Josephine Panyin Mensah, who reportedly went missing has been like a Kumkum Bhagya story.

The 28-year-old woman-dominated headlines in Ghana a few days ago.

This was after her husband, lodged a complaint at the police station that his wife, who was nine months pregnant cannot be found.

About five days after the complaint, a report emerged that she has been found at Tolanu, a suburb of Axim.

Shockingly, her supposed pregnancy was not intact after she was found.

The Ghana Police Service after thorough investigations stated that there were no records of her being pregnant.

Their statement was heavily challenged by the neighbours of Josephine Mensah, defending that they saw her protruding belly before she went missing.

After a back and forth, Newshuntermag.com has learnt she has now confessed that she wasn’t pregnant.

A source from the police said Josephine admitted to not being pregnant to Police Psychologist and Health workers at Effia Nkwanta Hospital in the Western Region on Friday, September 24, 2021.

She has therefore begged for forgiveness as she fears she will be prosecuted.

As at the time this report was filed, Josephine was being held at the Takoradi Central Police Station.
