The police are having the challenge to get Shatta Wale’s sister to assist them in their investigations.
After the popular musician was arrested over a hoax gunshot incident, it came to light that his sister was the person who reported it to the East Legon Police.
During a court sitting on Tuesday, it was revealed that an agreement between the defence lawyers, the prosecution and the court, for the defence to produce the said suspect, was defaulted.
Due to this, they have vowed to use other means to arrest her.
“There was a gentleman’s agreement between counsel, but they are not helping us, so we will use other means,” Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey stated.
In his reaction, Jerry Avenorgbo, Shatta Wale’s lawyer questioned why a person who volunteered information to the police should be treated as a suspect.
He said that will put fear in others who will want to give information to the police.
Wale’s lawyer, therefore, urged the court to as a matter of urgency commence the trial within the next week.
Shatta Wale was given a self-recognisance bail of GHC100, 000 some months ago.
