Veteran Ghanaian musician, Kofi Nti, is seemingly doubting the notion that musicians need hit songs to stay relevant.
He revealed in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM that Newshuntermag.com has come across the number of events he has been performing at.
The ‘Akonta’ hitmaker said he receives a lot of invitations to perform at events despite not releasing a hit song for the past 15 to 17 years.
He questioned how many of the new crops of artistes will be invited to perform at events if they couldn’t get hit songs for just two years.
Kofi Nti further mentioned the relevance of Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba and other veteran musicians without hit songs.
He also advised the young musicians to check their lifestyle if it will be difficult for them to be relevant without hit songs.
