Persons with Disabilities, Widows, Orphans, Children from broken homes and the needy deserve socio-economic and improved livelihoods.

They need better and easy access to universal health care services at all times devoid of their conditions, Ms Gifty Nyarko, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of G2 Foundation has indicated.

The G2 Foundation is a charitable Non Governmental organization working assiduously in all endeavours to ensure the above-mentioned group of individuals always enjoy life and smile.

Ms Nyarko was speaking at skills acquisition and empowerment training workshops in Kumasi, Sunyani and Dumasua, organized by the foundation to empower these vulnerable groups with the requisite competencies to break the bias in accessing basic social services everywhere.

It was attended by more than 100 women in these areas.

The training was centred on personal savings, forming groups to guarantee soft loans for their businesses, proper records keeping, developing their confidence level and helping them to know their basic fundamental human rights.

Ms Nyarko said the exercise is among the core goals and operational areas of the G2 Foundation.

She emphasized under no circumstances should there be any discrimination or so ever by the providers of social and health services and in accessing soft loans as set up capital.

“Disability does not imply inability because if they are given the opportunity, they can contribute effectively to the overall development of the country,” she stressed.

“I have realized maybe I was born into this World purposely for such a group of people, that’s my Kingdom business, therefore, I am always uncomfortable seeing these vulnerable groups more often been maltreated, discriminated, molested and ridiculed.”

“I will always do something to let them smile”, adding, “We all can also make them smile by breaking all these biases.”

Ms Nyarko in that regard implored civil society organization, government, philanthropists and Associations to collaborate and ensure the welfare of these vulnerable persons in the society are improved since sustainable development calls for all-inclusive governance.
